It amazes me when we get someone usually from an HR department calling us here at Autopeople about our services and they ask us about the price as their first question. I generally don’t know how to react to that except to say, “What price would you pay to get Grade A talent?”
If you’re a dealer and your people are doing the groundwork for you and you’re seeking top management talent, I suggest that price isn’t the only factor. You might hire a recruiter for a low fee but it’s always about what a person delivers. Somebody that will do a search for you real cheap, you’re probably going to get a real cheap candidate too.
So here at Autopeople, here is what WE do. We’re not the cheapest. We’re not the most expensive. We’re in the middle. But our mission is always the same…to find quality candidates for our dealer clients.
As an example…we recruit a Service Manager for you, and you hire him. If he makes you an extra $300,000 a year in gross, is our $20,000 fee worth it? If that guy delivers that to you, then the answer is obvious.
